The exhibition will include 80 paintings, prints, sculptures and textile works by Vasarely, most on loan from Hungarian collections. The exhibition will be the first Vasarely exhibition in the Czech Republic since the fall of communism.

One of the founders of the op-art movement, Victor Vasarely was born Győző Vásárhelyi in Pécs in 1906. After spending his childhood years in Slovakia, the artist moved to Budapest in 1919. In 1930, Vasarely moved to Paris, where he lived until his death in 1997.
