The Irish artist Lillevan Pobjoy and the Serbian video artist Bob Milosevic are paying tribute to Vasarely by projecting images of his work onto buildings in Knez Mihailova Street during Dis-Patch, which runs between October 29 and November 8.
Progres Gallery, also located in Knez Mihailova Street, is showing 30 works by Vasarely at an exhibition opened by Hungarian ambassador to Serbia Imre Varga.
A large-scale Vasarely exhibition is planned in Belgrade for early 2010 as part of the Pécs2010 European Capital of Culture programme. Vasarely collector Tibor Csepei will lend more than a hundred works for the show.
