Bárdosi, a writer of many books on the French language as well as the director of ELTE?s Romance Languages Institute, was awarded the National Order of the Legion of Honour Chevalier degree in recognition of decades of successful work promoting the French language and culture in Hungary.
The award was presented by French ambassador to Hungary René Roudaut under a decree issued by French President Nicolas Sarkozy.
