Bartha?s project Nature in the City was among several picked by the representatives of the Romanian Cultural Institute and the organisers of the Cultural Olympiad.
Three of Bartha?s sculptures will go on display in London: Time Spiral in the London Pleasure Gardens and Skyscraper and Bird on the water in the capital?s Victoria Park. Skyscraper towers almost eight metres while Spiral is almost 12 metres long.
Bartha said devising the frames which support the sculptures presented an engineering challenge because of the adverse weather and strong winds they may face in London.
The sculptures will go on display in the capital on July 20.
Bartha?s work could be seen in the Hungarian capital during the 2008 Budapest Spring Festival.
