The typeface, called Niobium, will be used on all official communications materials for the stadium as well as on signs and other markers.
Halmos's typefaces have enjoyed a high international profile recently. Letters he designed can be seen on the posters for the 2009 film Surrogates with Bruce Willis and they were worn by the Serbian national team at last year's swimming championships. His fonts are used by the Discovery Channel's American Chopper programme, by the Buffalo Sabres hockey team, and by food industry giant Danone.
Halmos sells his fonts on an internet site called Cheap Profonts.
