Football terms have long become fixtures in Hungarian literature, and there appears to be some kind of unexplainable symbiosis between the art of writing and the great game. This would explain the impetus behind the match at which Hungarian writers, among them Endre Kukorelly, László Darvasi, Péter Zilahy and Zoltán Kőrösi, will test their grit against a team of their German colleagues.
On the day before the match, some of the authors will read from their works at Berlin?s DAAD Gallery, and on May 20 a post-match party will be held in DAAD?s Kulturbrauerei, a venue situated in a converted brewery. The event will be hosted by the Collegium Hungaricum Berlin and Kulturbrauerei.
