The survey of almost 400 of the city's residents between the ages of 18 and 35 showed nearly all of the city's young people know about the Pécs2010 programme, and almost 90 percent said the programme would have a favourable effect on tourism and the number of cultural events in the city. Almost one-third said they would be willing to participate in organising the Pécs2010 programme.
The survey participants said the programme would be even more attractive if it featured more concerts, sports events and sponsorship by advertisers.
More than 60 percent of the respondents said they were satisfied with Pécs's cultural scene. Those who were dissatisfied said the city needs to do more to communicate cultural opportunities to the city's residents.
