Demény, who was born in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, attended the Bartók Music School in Budapest and won a silver medal at the Chopin Piano Competition in Budapest in 2006. He has since performed many concerts, as a soloist and with the Oradea Philharmonic.
Demény started studying under András Kemenes at the Liszt Music Academy in September.
