Festival organiser Éva Karádi said Hungary would be represented at the festival by Péter Gerőcs, whose book Zombor and the World was published by Scolar in 2010.
Among the Hungarian participants at earlier festivals are Krisztián Grecsó and György Dragomán, she added.
The writers at the festival will participate in a two-hour talk with the critic Anna Gács and the translator András Forgách on Saturday.
Karádi said the other young writers? first novels had not been translated into Hungarian, but she added that many first novels written by the festival?s previous participants had been translated as a result of the exposure.
In addition to the young Hungarian, participants at this year?s festival include Naima Chahboun from Sweden, André Gago from Portugal, Toine Heijmans from The Netherlands, Zuska Kepplová from Slovakia, Vesna Lemaić from Slovenia, Alessandro Mari from Italy, Anna-Elisabeth Mayer from Austria, Pelin Özer from Turkey, Kjersti Annesdatter Skomsvold from Norway, Hanne H?jgaard Viemose from Denmark, Bogdan Coşa from Romania, Petr Čichoň from the Czech Republic, Sandrine Fabbri from Switzerland, Goran Ferčec from Croatia, Clara Royer from France, Milen Ruskov from Bulgaria, Filip Springer from Poland, Satu Taskinen from Finland and Christos Toulouras from Cyprus.
