Zagar's song Wings of Love won second place in the Dance/Electronica category, and Magdi Rúzsa's Unsubstantial Blues received an honourable mention in the Blues category. Unsubstantial Blues also won second place in an audience vote.
A jury of professionals, including Tom Waits, Jerry Lee Lewis, Ornette Coleman, Joe Satriani, John Mayall, John Scofield and Cassandra Wilson, evaluated the songs.
