Zemplén Festival Starts Today

The festival will start in the courtyard of the Sárospatak Castle (NE Hungary) with a concert by pianist Michel Bourdoncle and Hungary's Dohnányi Orchestra performing pieces by Bartók, Liszt and Brahms. It will close with a concert by the famous Hungarian soprano Andrea Rost, who has performed at London's Royal Opera, Milan's Scala and New York's Metropolitan Opera.

 
Other artists on the programme include Katalin Kokas, Barnabás Kelemen, Árpád Tzumó Oláh, Gábor Bolla, Kálmán Oláh, the Honvéd Dance Ensemble and the actors of the Operetta Theatre.
