Dubbed Danish Invasion, the series will feature a month-long design exhibition as well as a different thematic exhibition each week. In addition to the exhibitions, the museum will host conferences, talks, workshops, concerts, theatre performances, film-screenings and food-tastings. Children will be invited to build Lego creations each weekend.
The series will be organised around four main themes: equal opportunity, environmental protection, Christmas and design.
Every Wednesday during the month, the museum will host a literary evening. On November 7, publishers and translators will speak about contemporary Danish literature. On November 14, the Hungarian translator Judit Kertész will give a talk on Hans Christian Andersen's works for adults entitled The Unknown Andersen.
On Thursdays, visitors to Danish Invasion can find out more about what Denmark offers to visitors and even learn about opportunities to study or work in the country.
On November 14-16, the museum will show a trilogy of films by director Per Fly which aim to show contemporary Danish society.
On November 25, the Budapest Bartók Chorus and the Green Apples String Quartet will give a concert of works by Hungarian and Danish composers.
The month will finish with a Christmas market during the first weekend of December.
The patrons of Danish Invasion are European champion handball player Ágnes Farkas and conductor and Hungarian State Opera musical director Ádám Fischer.
