Hungarian Films Play at Four Big US Film Festivals

Bálint Kenyeres?s short film ?Before Dawn? will be shown at the Arizona International Film Festival in Tucson (April 20 - 30). The festival?s motto for its 15th year is ?Bridging cultures and celebrating the spirit of independent film.?

Péter Gárdos?s film ?Porcelain Doll?, which has already received several international awards, has been invited to the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Film Festival, also running from April 20 to 30. The festival will feature more than 120 films from 40 countries.

Six Hungarian films will be included in the programme of the Nashville Film Festival, April 20 - 26. They are Roland Vranik?s feature film ?Black Brush?, the documentaries ?The Life of a Salesman?, by Zsigmond Gábor Papp, and ?The Black Dog?, by Péter Forgács, the shorts ?The 639th Doll? by Dési-Móray and Kenyeres?s ?Before Dawn?, and the animated film ?Maestro? by Géza M Tóth.

The San Francisco International Film Festival, April 20 - May 4, one of the longest-running festivals in the US, will show films from 50 countries. Among them is the winner of the best screenplay at the 36th Hungarian Film Festival: ?Four Seasons in Space?. The film?s director and screenplay writer József Pacskovszky will attend the festival.
