The troupe performed John the Valiant, directed by István Pinczés, on August 2. The piece was performed in Hungarian with Japanese and English supertitles.
After the performance, some 200kg of maize used as a prop was used to make popcorn.
The 13-member troupe held three workshops during the festival, drawing 30 foreign professionals at the last one.
This year?s festival featured 19 foreign troupes and 40 Japanese productions.
The Griff Puppet Theatre will return to Hungary late Tuesday.
