PM Presents Prizes For Minorities Work

The prizes were presented to the Slovenian university docent Elizabeta Bernjak, the Slovakian priest László Burian, the Ukrainian historian Csilla Fedinc, the minorities researcher and programme director of the Égtájak Office József Goldschmied, the retired director of the Cluj-Napoca Hungarian Opera (Romania) Gábor Simon, the Ferenc Geszthy Company of Deva (Romania), the Híd literary, arts and social journal of Novi Sad (Serbia), the Hungarian University Institute of Cluj-Napoca (Romania) and the Saint Stephen Association in Vienna.
 
The 20th anniversary of the establishment of Hungarian minority organisations in two Ukrainian cities was also recognised.
 
 
The prizes were presented by Prime Minister Gordon Bajnai and House Speaker Katalin Szili. Minister of Education and Culture István Hiller took part at the ceremony.
