dupla x Móra Museum to Build New Warehouse

English

The museum sold its old warehouse to the shopping centre developer for HUF 800 million last summer. The new warehouse will cost just HUF 640 million to build, and it will be 50 percent bigger than the old one. The remainder of the proceeds from the sale will be used to finance the move and the cost of temporary storage.

The 4,000-square-metre warehouse will open in December, providing the home for objects from five collections and with a staff of 30.

The warehouse will have a 500-square-metre restoration workshop as well as displays for visitors.

The warehouse can be expanded by another 700 square metres later on, and the 12,000-square-metre lot it will be built on can be used to store oversized objects.
