Director Péter Bergendy?s film The Exam will be shown outside of competition in the World Greats selection. The screening will be attended Gabriella Hámori who plays the female lead in the spy story.
 
Director Bence Gyöngyössy?s Last Rhapsody will be shown in the World Cinema section. The film, a Hungarian-French co-production, pays tribute to the composer Liszt. The director will attend the screening.
 
The competition of first-time directors will include Polish director Maciej Adamek?s Zdjecie (The Photograph), a Polish-German-Hungarian co-production with András Muhi (Inforg Studio) representing Hungary. Adamek is well known in Poland as a documentary filmmaker.
 
Muhi said the film tells the story of a 16-year-old boy who discovers a strange photograph during a beach holiday which makes him question the entire family?s network of relations. While trying to clear up his suspicions, he moves closer to adulthood.
 
The World Film Festival Montreal will feature 432 films from 80 countries.
