Gray, whose trademark raspy voice has won her fans around the world, was nominated for a Grammy five times, and took one for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance in 2000. Her first studio album, On How Life Is, went triple-platinum in the US and quadruple-platinum in the UK. She has since recorded three more studio albums as well as a live album.
Gray has collaborated with the likes of Fatboy Slim, The Black Eyed Peas, Santana and Zucchero. She has also made appearances in films such as Training Day and Spider-Man.
