Budapest to Sign Sister City Agreement with Beijing

In the proposal to upgrade Budapest?s friendship and cooperation agreement with Beijing, signed in 2005, Mayor István Tarlós said sister-city status would allow a mutual exchange of information and experiences, as well as cooperation, in the areas of city management, education, culture, tourism, media and communication, informational technology, trade and business development.
 
Budapest is also expected to sign a three-year cooperation agreement on trade and infrastructure development, tourism, culture, and education with Shanghai.
 
Tarlós has proposed signing a friendship and cooperation agreement with Baku. The agreement aims to foster cooperation in city management and infrastructure.
