Lady Di Exhibition Comes to Budapest

English

The exhibition, called Diana: a Celebration, presents objects, images and information that offers a broad portrait of Lady Di's life. Visitors can see her favourite cat, letters to her father from camp, her school uniform and family snapshots of the young Diana prancing around in her swimsuit. One gets nothing less than a full family history at this show, which leads to the realisation that Prince Charles did not marry just some kindergarten assistant, but a member of an old noble family.

The exhibition shows Diana's entry into Prince Charles' circle and the fairy-tale wedding. Then it leaps to pictures of the children, followed by some of highlights of her fantastic wardrobe.

Diana "grew to be one of the world's most respected and revered women of her time because of her human warmth and caring leading to the charity work she undertook," the exhibition's organisers said.
"Diana was not content to be seen as a royal wife and mother. Although her style was legendary, Diana's interest was in people and in helping raise awareness about people in society who were forgotten."
